Obituary of Jo Ann Parsell

It is with great sadness that the family of Jo Ann Parsell announces her passing February 7, 2024, at Highland Manor, Exeter, Pa surrounded by her loving family. Jo Ann was 77 years old. She was predeceased in death by her parents Romain and Marjorie (Lutz) Whittaker and sister Patricia.

Jo Ann lived in Dingmans Ferry all her life. She was married to her beloved husband Thaddeus for 54 years. Jo Ann was secretary for the family excavation business Pike County Enterprises.  She loved her volunteer work for Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Co. She was a charter member of the Dingmans Ferry-Delaware Township Historical Society of which she held many positions. She was one of the original founders of the friends of Marie Zimmerman. Jo Ann also loved all animals both wild and domestic. Especially her dogs Jason, Brun, Pfeffer, Hanson, and Kaden.

A receiving of friends will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 101 St. Vincent Dr., Milford, Pa on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 10 AM to 11 AM. A celebratory Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 11 AM with Reverend John Boyle Officiating. Burial will be at Delaware Cemetery at a later date.

Family requests memorials to the Delaware Township Historical Society.
