I loved Eva! I spent a lot of time with her as friends back in our Ramapo days. She always insisted I drive that Fire Galaxy even though I wasn’t old enough because that was what the man was supposed to do. We played cards, backgammon and listened to lots of music to while away the hours. I remember meeting her mom and Philyss. I would help her mom bring in the groceries. Eva was dating an older fella at the time who I didn’t think was right for her. He was jealous of my friendship with her and did make that known to me. She ignored that and did suffer the consequences with him. I would have been more at ease and would most likely have been her steady if not for him.
She was always so bubbly and positive, a very uplifting person to be around. We enjoyed making each other laugh as we were a pair of Geminis poking fun at the world!
My mom absolutely adored her. I believe Eva was at my house when my mom got stoned on brownies the very first time.
Eva had an eye for fashion particularly those bell bottomed hip huggers. One day she insisted I wear a pair of her trousers. They were so tight I could hardly walk. I left her house and hitched a ride down to Burger King where we all hung out in Midland Park. She was going to catch up with me later. I got picked up by the wrong guy who made passes at me and then he begged me not to hit him. I got out of that vehicle and walked. Eva sure got me into trouble that time.
I am so sad she left us. She tried to to contact me in a video call back in June and now I really regret not answering.
It seems like yesterday when I think of her.
I’ll never forget her laughter, smile and beauty. She was a one of a kinder and the world will be just a little bit lonelier without her.

I just can’t believe Eva passed away slowly yet so quickly. She had so much life to live with Keith. The love they had was tremendous. Every time she spoke of Lincoln, her face lit up. She couldn’t wait to share pictures or stories. In addition she kept her friends up to date on her sons, Jason and Kevin. She was one very proud mom and grandma and wife. It’s going to take the rest of my/our lives to recover from such a significant loss.
