Obituary of Stephen David Tucker
Stephen David Tucker, 74, of Milford, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ with his family by his side. He was a Physician Assistant of 20 years for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He worked in many institutions until he finally retired from FCI in Berlin, NH.
Stephen enjoyed walking, traveling and was highly dedicated to the welfare of animals. His dedication and passion for dogs went so far that he felt the need to become a volunteer for the Puppies Behind Bars Program which he did for 8-9 years until recently. He also dedicated his time as a volunteer to the National Association of Canine Scent Work and the United Kennel Club.
Stephen was the son of Solomon and Lillian (Eaton) Tucker, he was born on June 24, 1949, in Brooklyn, NY. He married Cynthia Zajaceskowski in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands on April 26, 2000.
Stephen is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Zajaceskowski) Tucker; stepson, Aren VanPatten and his wife Caroline of New York; sister, Abigail Tucker-Koenig and her husband Rodney of Arizona; brother-in-law, David Zajaceskowski and his wife Betty of New York; and his dog and beloved companion Lexi.
A viewing will be held at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, PA 18337 on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 4 to 6 PM.
Graveside services will be held at the Milford Cemetery on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11 AM.
