Obituary of Austin M Prey

Austin Michael Prey, 23 of Matamoras, PA passed away Monday, July 31, 2023, in Town of Waywayanda, NY. He worked for Lawn Masters, Middletown, NY and was an avid fisherman and hunter, Austin loved the outdoors no matter what he was doing as long as he was outside.  Austin loved being on the water fishing or kayaking or he would be in the woods getting ready for the incoming season. Austin had many friends that he had made over his short life, and he would do anything for anyone. Austin lived his life on his terms. We can honor and remember him through the things he loved to do most.  

The son of Harry Prey and April Godfrey was born June 1, 2000, in Port Jervis, NY.

Austin leaves behind his mother & father Harry & Tammy Prey, sisters Hayley Prey, Tabitha Newmark and her husband Neal, Melissa Prieto, Carissa Prieto, nephew Nolan Newmark and Niece Tenley Newmark as many aunts and uncles and cousins,  Girlfriend Kenzie Wesley, best friends Nick Tooley and Juilan Pisutvacharakul.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Russell and Sarah Prey. Maternal grandmother, Sarah Bunn.

A celebration of life will be held at the River View Inn, Matamoras, PA on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 4 to 8 PM.
