Obituary of Charles Michael Strouse
It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Michael Strouse reports his passing on March 16, 2023 in Scranton, PA.
Charles will be remembered as a very intelligent and humorous person who would light us a room with his presence. He worked in sales with Verizon network and with alarm systems. His passion was baseball, starting with him and his brother at a young age in the back yard. He played right fieild in high school and his team won the State Championship in 2006 at Delaware Valley High School. It was a memory he would never forget. He also loved playing football as the kicker, soccer and golf. After high school, Charles moved on to college at Lockhaven University and on to play baseball there. He loved his friends and family with all of his heart. He was especially loved by his nieces and nephews.
The son of Mark and Wendy Strouse, he was born on May 20, 1988 in Port Jervis, NY. Charles leaves behind grandparents, Warner and Marilyn Tschopp of Milford, PA; sister, Janel Barber and husband Scott with their children Jackie, Kiara, Karson Jackson, Lyndsey and Ryan; sister, Jennifer Perreault and husband Adam with their children Samantha and Gabrielle; sister, Jessica Strouse; sister, Jeanna Pocsi and husband Rich and children, JJ, Evan and Zane; brother, Mark and wife Krystyn with their children Ian and Harper; sister, Rachel Copertino and husband Bryan with their children Chloe, Ian, Zachary and Peyton; sister, Lauren Strouse with her son Matthew; brother, Edward and wife Corrine with their children Aaliyah, Ethan, Carmella, Julian , Jayce, Kayleb, Mila and Gemma; sister, Michelle Strouse with her companion, Michael Ruggiero.
Charles was predeceased by his father, Charles Michael Massott, grandparents, Charles F. and Margaret Massot; Dennis Massot; aunt, Aimee Hissam and uncle, Warner Tschopp, Jr. He is also survived by his biological mother, Heidi Messenger Tschopp. Charles was loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 12 to 2 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on March 26, 2023 at 2 PM with the Rev. Ben Willis officiating.
Burial will take place in the Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to Mark Strouse, PO Box 523, Milford, PA 18337 for the Scholarship Fund in Honor of Charles Strouse for any person going to college to further their career in sports management.
