Happy Birthday, Michael. Even though you won’t be there, I’ll be at the Erie for the chocolate peanut butter pie … but, I won’t make the waitresses sing Happy Birthday this time. I’ll never forget how red your face was! In my defense, I did try and stop it from happening. You’ll always be my “Superman”. I miss you, every day. Lots of love to you today & always. To your family … although it’s difficult to see beyond the sorrow of today, may looking back in memory help you find comfort. Wishing you warm memories to hold in your heart forever.

To say I’m devastated would be an understatement. Michael, I’ve loved you since the day I met you, and it wasn’t just because of the iced coffee. It was that beautifully, goofy smile you had when you took down your mask … The way it made it up to your eyes and the way they sparkled when it was genuine. It was the kindness in your voice, the consideration in your words. It was the way you carried yourself, so sure, so strong, so proud, so brave. The way I knew instantly that you were a GOOD man, honestly, the best one I’ve ever known. And while time moved us on, my heart stayed with you, always. I’ve thought of you everyday and that will never change. The life I have now is because of you and I will never be able to thank you enough for everything you did. You were one of my life’s greatest experiences and I will always cherish you. I will continue to look for you everywhere. Until we meet again. “Did you ever know that you're my hero? You're everything I wish I could be I could fly higher than an eagle For you are the wind beneath my wings.” To Michael’s family … thank you. Everything Michael was, was because of each one of you … and he really was everything. He loved you all so dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
