Mrs. Husson was my bus driver for many, many wonderful years! She had the patience of a saint. I always remember her handing out candy during the holidays and I loved seeing her smiling face in the morning, greeting me as I got on the bus. I remember one time when someone tied 2 girl’s laces together under the seat and Mrs. Husson pulled the bus over and worked on the knot until it became undone. The one little girl was crying and pulling her shoe, afraid she was stuck on the bus. Mrs. Husson remained calm and patient the whole time. She went on to drive my much younger siblings to school. Every time I drove passed her house on my way home, I always smile thinking of her fondly. My parents had a cat that would continually end up at Mrs. Husson’s house. Mrs. Husson was one of a kind and I hope she knew just how many people adored her.
