I am so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. It's been a few years since I last visited with him at home and the ranch and I have. so many great memories of the crew and friends I made there over the years. I boarded at least 3 horses there over the years since1967 and made many runs up and down the "hill".. I have so many memories of Steve, Bobby and Malibu that I cherish. I hope Steve has met up with Ed Lavenburg and they are both riding the trails and sailing the seas! RIP, my friend.

SADDENED TO HEAR ABOUT STEVE'S PASSING. MY KIDS, RACHEL AND ELLIOT VISITED THE RANCH MANY TIMES OVER SEVERAL YEARS AS WELL AS THE CLASSES (TAUGHT MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH IN THE BRONX,NY) THAT I WOULD BRING FOR THOSE MAGICAL WEEKEND TRIPS. STEVE WAS KIND AND ALWAYS TOOK GREAT INTEREST IN ALL OF US, EACH AND EVERY TIME. WE CONSIDERED HIM A FRIEND AND ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO GOING TO THE RANCH AND RIDING, SWIMMING AND GENERALLY HAVING A FABULOUS TIME. HE WILL BE MISSED.....THANKS STEVE FOR BEING SUCH A SPECIAL GUY., YOU WILL BE MISSED..... BERNIE FLAM

I have known Steve since 1966 when he and Bobby owned Malibu. I would go up from NYC and work there on weekends. Many fond memories of Malibu and met many of the regulars and colorful characters during my time like Jerry Sherman and Raymond lonestar and many other later on. Also met my wife Shari there back in 1991. For all that I am grateful to Steve for letting us come up work and enjoy the ranch. Thanks Steve. I hope you next journey is as fun filled as your time here on earth. Condolences to the family.

Growing up summers at Malibu. It was always our happy place with treasured memories of trail rides, barbecues, county fairs and rodeos. The best were the friendships that last on. We will always hold Steve snd our Malibu memories in our hearts

I knew Steve most of my life. He was a great friend. My husband, Mike, became his cardiologist and friend. We are going to miss this one of a kind guy! RIP, Steve.
