Grandma Margaret, I am so thankful that you met your great grandson Nicky. I will always remember you holding him, asking me how I was and how my family was doing. I lost my grandparents when I was very young, so hugging and kissing you as my grandmother meant so much to me. I will be sure to tell Nicky it was you who taught him how to play patty cake. Rest in peace grandma, we love you.

Dear Mom,
When we were both young, I remember how people thought we were sisters. You always look so pretty and fashionable. And since you also had a great sense of humor, we always had a good time together.
Throughout the years, I was lucky to have your ready advice and sympathy when I needed them, and your calming manner throughout.
Most of all, I will miss being your confidant and friend. I can never describe how much that meant to me.
Miss you and love you always,
Andrea

Grandma I am going to miss you so much I want you and the world to know that I am happy you are seated with our lord. You have every blessing to live this 2nd life in the light without regret & I hope beyond hope that as your soul reaches heaven you allow yourself to enjoy that world of angels & light. Grandma every memory we shared is treasured, blessed, full of love & irrefutably positive. I want to thank you so much for being one of the only people who ever supported my continuing education. Not many people know by giving me a place to go after night classes at Grady you helped me have a safe way to learn, Then after while I was in KCC Having me visit and discuss class after long days at taking class at Kingsborough. If I didn't understand the curriculum. well you did. Your profound love of history & language will reign in everyone. You have inspired me to continue learning, to travel and try. Every recipe you shared, every time I called for help with making pierogi or stuffed cabbage from scratch. My beautiful Grandma always full of smiles and stories.
Out of all My favorite memories I can remember when we pickled mussels on the rocks of Coney Island/Brighton Beach and cooked them years before the waters became too dangerous with red algae and jellyfish. All the boardwalk walks, all the times we worked the church festivals, all the occasions, when I think of the sunrise over brooklyn.. I will always feel your spirit. Please be at peace as now your loving granchildren (and i hope i can speak for us all) will take care of our family so you can rest in peace. Love you so much grandma. Love you so much

Dear Grams, you’re the best possible thing that could’ve ever happened to us. You came, our bright light that shone through anything. I will always love you so so much. You’re my grams. No one could ever replace you no matter how hard they try you’ll still be the best. We miss you so much but we know you’re happy now. I will miss your cooking and the way you made us laugh. Grandma Margaret was my cooking teacher, my potty trainer, my objective guide, and my friend.
Later in life, she was also my political sparring partner. We would debate and argue for hours over modern politics; her staunchly on the left side and me on the right. Our verbal battles sometimes made those watching us nervous, yet it never seemed to affect our familial bond. After awhile, during one heated debate I realized why: she was ENJOYING the arguments. And then another realization...I was enjoying them too. In today's world where families are divided farther and farther by petty political disagreements, grandma and I went against all common wisdom and engaged each other willingly and viciously. And we loved it, and our love for each other never diminished.
How many other ways can I list that she directly guided my path in life? It was grandma who decided when it was time for me to buy my first car. It was she who cultivated and encouraged my love of New York City. It was she who declared when my son was first ready to start walking. In all of these things, grandma was confident and precise in her belief of what the best path forward was, and she was right on the money each time.
As much as I will miss her, and as difficult a time as it is for my family, I can't help but smile everytime I think of my grandma. She lived a long, incredible life surrounded by love and caring. She welcomed my wife into our family and got to see her great grandchildren grow. Now she speeds toward the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, whom by her teachings she has led all of our family to as well.
I love you, gram. Rest for now, and we'll talk about what that crazy congress is up to again soon.

Dearest Mama - The day we lost you, we lost the best of our family, our world, our everything. Your unconditional love and endless kindness will never be forgotten. You loved all children, and most of all yours...and their spouses, and their kids, and their kids...and the Yankees (those lucky dogs!). We all felt your love no matter where or when. They say no love is like a mother's love and there will never be a better, lovelier, funnier, gentler, more caring or more giving mom than you. I can't wait till we all meet again. All my love, Nan

One quiet day the angels came and took my Grandma far away
But in the stillness of the night I could almost hear her say
Dear grandchild – I will miss you, you mean so much to me
But Jesus called me to his side, in Heaven I will be
A place of God’s great beauty, no tears of earthly cares
Only peace and joy forever and love beyond compare
So remember all the good times, don’t think about the sad
Treasure all the special moments through the years we’ve had
And if you trust in Jesus, I can promise this and more
You will get a hug from Grandma someday on Heaven’s golden shore.
Thank you for the precious memories. Thank you for your endless love. I will miss you every day. All my love, Jennifer
