John was an incredible inspiration to me, a mentor, a FABULOUS wealth of information, and one of the nicest men I have ever met. He took me under his wing and gave me a chance to showcase my artwork - having never even known me, after just a few looks on my cell. He meant so incredibly much to me, our long talks at the gallery or even on the phone will remain indelible in my mind as insights into his colorful life. He always had a story to tell! And his talents went beyond anyones - just simply incredible that despite all of the health issues and things he'd gone through he still worked EVERY day, such was his drive and life force. What a fascinating, ever-creative mind. I had missed talking to him so much this past year, separated because of Covid, but he was always in my thoughts and prayers, and now as he rests in gentle peace. He touched so very many hearts, and especially mine.
