Six months, and it seems like yesterday. The pain of loss is just as great.

Nancy was very sweet and kind. She was extremely knowledgeable on so many things -- we loved to talk with her and we learned so much about the history of our beautiful Milford.
It was always a joy to cross our lawns and gather like good neighbors and talk. We will miss looking across our yard to Nancy's garden, where she loved to be. My mom, Midge, and I send our sympathies to Nancy's family. Your mom is in our prayers, as are all of you.
With love and deepest appreciation,
Midge and Janice Curreri

I will greatly miss my friend. She was so full of life and love for all. I remember going to the Creamery having ice cream sitting on a bench overlooking the river, with her telling me tales of her life as a child. She always dropped off the latest new flavor of ice cream for my husband. Have wonderful memories - will miss our weekly conversations.

For all we ought to have thought, and have not thought;
If God makes the faithful suffer so, how much more will my suffering be?
What a wonderful person Mom is.
All we ought to have said, and have not said;
You were my mom, my friend, my second sister.
I love you so much, and always will.
All we ought to have done, and have not done;
Been there more often when you needed me most.
I did not protect you, I could not protect you from what happened, as I promised Dad I would.
I pray thee, God, for forgiveness.
Somewhere, sometime in this vast universe, I will see you again.
For I am made from you, and our love will overcome death.
I love you Mom. N

Welcoming. Welcoming and Kind no matter what is how I will always remember “Aunt” Nancy. And far more generous and giving than many of us realized. One of my earliest memories is visiting her and meeting Peter, Nandy, and Connie (Matt wasn't born yet) for the first time while picnicking in their side yard. At some point my parents disappeared to visit other relatives and when I realized they were gone, I panicked, as a 3-year-old will. “Aunt” Nancy calmly put me on her lap and said it was okay, she was there. (She and my Dad were first cousins and as he was an only child she thought of him as the older brother she never had.)
As one of the youngest of our then extended family, after Nancy and Warren retired back to Milford she became the “go to” person once again, always welcoming friends, neighbors, family into her home and always willing to take someone to the store, or church, or doctor, or help them get the help they needed.
Two years ago when she was recovering from a broken hip and couldn't drive and my 20+ year old car finally gave up, she didn't think twice about loaning it to me until I was able to get another one. I will always be so grateful for that. I will also be even more grateful for how much she helped my father as his health was failing.
She didn't have to adopt stray kittens and then a few years ago when both cats developed diabetes, turn her daily routine upside down to treat them.
She didn't have to do all the things she did to make other peoples' lives just a little bit better. And for that, and so much more, I will never forget her.
My love to you, Nancy. Rest in peace.

I will miss my friend, Nancy very much. I am sorry we were not able to spend much time together this past year. You were a beloved child of God and I thank you for our wonderful conversations about church, prayer, service and devotion, and days gone by. I will always remember you with a mischievous smile, a twinkle in your eyes, love in your heart and a story to be told. Until we meet again.
"His Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:23
