Dorothy was a great neighbor!!! She loved working outdoors around the apartment house planting flowers and talking with her neighbors. Any time an apartment opened on the first floor of our building, Dorothy refused to move downstairs. She climbed those steps every day! She walked to stay healthy and would do her sit-ups and exercises daily. She was also our neighbor hood watchdog and advocate. If she saw someone park in any of our parking spots, she was determined to tell them to move. She didn't like people speeding through our driveway either. She was determined to continue working as long as she could at Rite Aid. She wasn't afraid to work. She loved taking walks around Milford, eating at the Milford Diner and the Dimmock Inn. She loved to celebrate her birthday at Red Lobster! She always attended my Tupperware parties more for the food than the Tupperware. She informed me that some Tupperware items were hard for her to open. My Tupperware representative loved her constructive criticism! Dorothy loved her church family. It was fun to keep up with Helen Monisera's adventures through conversations with Dorothy.
After moving out of the area, it was always a pleasure to visit with her if I was visiting my relatives that lived next door to her.
To Will and Sherry, thanks for always looking out for her and taking care of her whenever she was in the hospital. Thanks for always keeping her car when she went to Florida to visit with Richard and Glenna.
To Richard and Glenna, even though I never met you, Dorothy would always fondly reminisce about her visits with you after she returned from visiting you in Florida.
To All of the Oehlmann family, my deepest sympathy for the loss of such a wonderful person. Even though I would love to attend Dorothy's funeral service, for the safety of all during this pandemic and because our county has gone from 100 cases to almost 700 cases of COVID in the last two months, I won't be able to attend. God bless all of you. Dolores Brennan Cairl
