Helene Elizabeth Lane, 86, of Milford, PA passed away May 7, 2020 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. She was a retired Teacher of First Grade for Lincoln School, Bergenfield, NJ, an active and loyal member of the NJEA and an accomplished singer who sang on stage for many years with her late husband. The daughter of the late Irving and Helen (Schieffelin) Strauss, she was born October 31, 1933 in Fairview, NJ. She was married to the late Chet Lane. Helene leaves behind three daughters; Willa Moats and husband Roger of Milford, PA, Rita Specht Anderson and husband Peter of Sarasota, FL and Helene Specht Leary and husband Thomas of Milford, PA; stepdaughters, Rosanne Huttman and Debbi Patton; grandchildren, Jennifer Niedzinski and husband Ken, Jeffrey Niedzinski, Shante Anderson, Elijah Anderson, Christalla Philippou, Mathew Philippou and Eric Philippou; great granddaughter, Elle Niedzinski, and many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
