CAM, you're probably the only one in the family to remember me. I'm Johanna (Baird) Cabral originally from San Jose, CA now Redding, CA. I lived with you and Ian in Red Lodge in 1970-1971. Your dad was my Uncle AL; best friends with my Mom-Betty, who use to play with your dad and your aunt Johanna in Los Altos where they lived. I hitched a ride with your mom & dad to Red Lodge where I met you and Ian. Loved being with you two boys & your wonderful parents! I have fond memories of Ian's determination to carry on - no matter what. I know that he is healthy, happy & terrific walking with your folks. GOD Bless You!

I was a classmate of Ian, we had some good times in school. One time i was in the Library and all of a sudden i was being pulled out the door on my chair and down the hall. Ian tied his wheel chair to my chair and took off. Fun times! I learned a lot from Ian the biggest thing is that you don't let life get you down. I have not seen Ian in 20 plus years. I will tell you this that he will be missed! The Bible holds out a wonderful hope that we will see Ian again in perfect health and in a perfect world. That is what i hold on to when we lose dear friends in death. That true hope get's us through tough times. I will keep you all in my prayers. May you find peace.

I cant believe you passed away, you always had a smile when I saw you and sometimes when my life was particularly shitty having a sick son with epilepsy and autism or divorcing yet another schmedlap I married you would make me laugh and smile and I hate that this world doesnt have you anymore in it, and I will not randomly get a message from you saying something I posted made you laugh or that things will.get better, you will be missed very much. Sending my condolences to the Knox family I will never drive up Christian Hill without thinking of all of you, but especially Ian

My deepest condolences! Ian was two years older than I. I always was impressed with his deft maneuvering with his wheel chair and how once when he was being called to the school office over the PA system it was followed by “No Wheelies!” which made the whole class smile because everyone knew he rarely resisted the opportunity for a good wheelie! Such a positive spirit!!

My deepest sympathy to the extended Knox family. I always enjoyed sipping Scotch with Ian.
We had lots of fun on our trips to Philly and Boston for Scotch tasting with the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by many.
My condolences,

Cam, Hillary, Seana and Colin, I'm so sorry to hear about Ian. He was a wonderful pain in the butt :) He was the least handicapped person I ever met. He had an awesome sense of humor and my kids thought he was so cool speeding past our house in his wheelchair or bike. My favorite memory (your mom loved this) was me telling Ian to get out of the wheelchair when I saw him in it in the high school. I had know him 4 years by then. I had no idea he was always in a wheelchair. I saw him at the library table or lunchroom or in his car. He had even driven me around one night looking for our friend during Pike County Days! I never noticed the hand controls. I felt so dumb but he just laughed at me. Now he is with your mom and dad, raising hell I'm sure. :) My love and condolences to you all. He will be greatly missed.
