Obituary of Carol Elizabeth Ruberto

Carol Elizabeth Ruberto, 65, of New Rochelle, NY and Hawley/Lords Valley, PA passed away at home on Saturday, January 4, 2025.  She worked as an executive assistant at Seagram (NYC and White Plains, NY)  then Diageo (Stamford, CT). She retired from Diageo in 2016, where she was executive assistant to the president of North American supply.

Carol had a love for music, Manhattan, and animals, which she enjoyed donating to local charities. In her spare time, Carol joined a genealogy group in her community to research family ancestry. She learned that her Grandmother “Maggie” Broderick is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Daughter of the late John T. and Vera (Leino) Broderick, Carol was born in Bronxville, NY on March 23, 1959. She was raised in the Drake House community in New Rochelle, NY. Carol graduated from New Rochelle High School (Class of 1977) and continued her education at the Berkeley Business School in White Plains, NY.

Carol is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” P. Ruberto; son, Christopher Garro; mother, Vera Broderick; sister, Nancy Joyce and her husband John; brother, John R. Broderick and his wife Cassandra Carponter; nieces, Mollie O’Leary and Shea Carponter-Broderick; great-grandnephew, Gabriel O’Leary; and fur babies, Jackson, Roxie, Louie and Inspector. Carol was predeceased by her father, John T. Broderick; and nephew, Matthew O’Leary.

Family will receive friends at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 6 PM with Rev. Edward Casey officiating.
