Peter Jay Moore, 65, of Milford, Pennsylvania passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, December 23, 2024.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Peter was devoted to the work he did. He dedicated over twenty years working for C and D Technologies in Port Jervis, NY, ten years with LP Cylinder in Shohola, Pennsylvania and Ryder Rendering, working as a Laborer.

Pete was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone and would love to sit on porch to say hello when people would drive by. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing and hiking and listening to music and mostly camping with family and friends. Pete was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his new grandbaby.

The son of the late Cyril and Evelyn (Hinkley) Moore, Peter was born October 3, 1959, in Port Jervis, New York. He was married to Mary Sue (Zernhelt) Moore for thirty-nine wonderful years.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mary Sue Moore; children, Tyler Moore, Rebecca Moore and Marshall Moore; grandchildren, Alyssa Lewis, Ella French and Liam French; siblings, Robert “Bob” Moore, Pamela Gagnon and Sue Gus; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Peter was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Evanyke.

A service will be held at New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 205 Avenue G, Matamoras, PA 18336, on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1 PM with Rev. Skip Whitley officiating.

Cremation was privately held at the convenience of the family.
