Obituary of Francis H Wright
Francis (Frank) H. Wright, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. Born on February 13, 1935, in Passaic, New Jersey to the late George and Margaret (Keuken) Wright, Frank lived a life marked by dedication to his family and community. On June 8, 2020, Frank was predeceased by his wife of fifty-nine years, Elizabeth (Parks) Wright.
A proud United States Army veteran who served with honor during his time in the military, Frank carried the values of service and commitment throughout his life. He had a variety of work experiences during his long life including paint mixer, construction equipment operator, repairman at Keil Oil and maintenance worker for the Wayne Board of Education. His co-workers remember him not only for his strong work ethic but also for the kindness he showed to everyone around him. When not at work he enjoyed being outdoors riding a horse, gardening, feeding wildlife and camping.
Frank was deeply involved in his local community as a Fourth Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus Bishop Navagh Council 5943 in Pequannock, New Jersey. His faith guided him through life's challenges. He took great pride in serving others through various charitable initiatives organized by the Knights of Columbus.
Family was at the heart of Frank’s world. He is survived by his daughter, Gail (Keith) Jasman; granddaughter, Alexis (Austin) Hargraves; sister, Lorraine Havemann; nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends. Frank was also preceded in death by his son, James Wright, brothers Rein and George, and sisters Maryanne, Barbara and Judy
Friends may call at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, PA on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9 to 10 AM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 10 AM with Rev. Edward Casey officiating. Burial will follow at the Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania with military honors.
