Before Emil proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956, he met Arlene, the love of his life.  They married on his return from serving two years with the Nike Missile Program during the Korean War.  Emil served six years in the Reserves until discharged in 1962.

Emil was a hard working man, entrepreneur and a great inspiration to his loved ones and friends.  He was a Lifetime member of the Port Jervis Elks #645 and a 4th Degree Lifetime member of the John Saxton Assembly #760 Knights of Columbus.  He served for over 50 years as a director of the Milford Community House, and served many years as president of the Milford Cemetery Association.  Emil also served on the Vacancy Board of Milford Township.  He was a faithful member of Saint Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and served as an usher, and he counted the weekly collection for 48 years.
