Obituary of Judy Standifer

Judith (Judy) Lee Standifer, 85, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and faithful caregivers.  Judy endeared everyone she met and was immediately loved for her enduring smile in light of any circumstance or challenge, kind heart and innocence. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.  Preceded in passing by the love of her life and whom she has now joined, Richard (Richie) Pinto.

Judy will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, the innocent twinkle in her eyes, and her love of good-natured teasing.  She was a cherished and loving mother of her cat, Dutchess, who remained by her side until her passing.  In her free time, Judy loved to watch television, read, do puzzles, and color.

The daughter of the late James (J.B.) Standifer, stepmother, Wanda Lee (Tennant) Standifer, and mother, Iva Margaret (Garlitz) Standifer was born on January 17,1939 in Fairmont, West Virgina.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Karin Ann Standifer Smith; her daughters; Karin Ann Burger; Brenda Kay Perry Krysher and husband, Randell (Randy) Krysher; her grandchildren; Robbie Burger, Rachel Burger, Aaron Perry (Tina), Jeffrey Perry (McKenzie), Jon-Michael Perry Kheriaty (Joe); her great-grandchildren; Ethan Turner, Wyatt Perry, Annelyse Perry, Isaac Perry; nephews; Gregory Smith (Dora); Brad Smith (Robin); Eric Smith (Selma); great-niece; Samantha; great -nephews; Kristian, Karlin, and David Smith; as well as Richie’s sisters; the kind staff of Residential Bridge Program and Hospice, and the host of friends who loved her dearly.

Memorial donations may be made to The ARC (https://thearc.org).  The family is planning a memorial service and family gathering in the local area on or around August 31, 2024.  Details will be added as available.
