Obituary of Robert William Oellerich

Robert William Oellerich, 98 of Millrift, PA passed away April 28, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Robert retired as a Captain from the New York City Fire Department and was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WW II and the Korean Conflict.

 Bob was a member of the Millrift Fire Department and past President of the Millrift Civic Association, Pike County Fair volunteer, avid traveler and Girl Scout Troop 5 211 Co- leader.

The son of the late Thomas Henry and Adelaide (Wissert) Oellerich, he was born August 12, 1925, in Astoria, Queens, NY. He was married for 65 years to, and predeceased by, Gertrude Jane (Bimson) Oellerich.

Robert leaves behind his son Lawrence W. Oellerich; daughters Pennie Lynn Oellerich and Sandra LaRocca and seven grandchildren, Kimberly, James, Lauren, Robert, Tracey, Thomas and Allison.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 11AM to 12 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on May 2, 2024, at 12 PM with Rev. Keith Raser officiating.

A burial will follow in Millrift Cemetery, Millrift, PA with military honors.

Memorial donations may be made to the Westfall Township Fire Department.
