Obituary of Britta Ellen Chojnacki
With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the family of Britta Ellen Chojnacki announce the passing of their kind, brave, and caring mother, oma, sister, and friend at home on February 5, 2024, due to natural causes.
The daughter of Manfred and Lilli (Hellmund) Hermann, she was born in Germany on December 16, 1957, and came to America with her son, Joachim in 1982. Several years later she had met her soulmate Walter Chojnacki, they married and began the journey that changed her life forever.
Britta was a self-employed contractor, who proudly worked alongside her loving husband, Walter Chojnacki, and son Joachim Goff.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Joachim Goff; grandchildren, Makalin Hall, and Mariah Goff; brothers, Bernd Hermann, Karl Heinz Hermann, and Eve Manfred Hermann; sisters, Konnie Shaffer-Weiss, Sonja Tompkins, and Sylvia Betts.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Chojnacki, her daughter, Sandra Goff and sister, Carmen Hermann.
Family will receive friends at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 193 Church Road, Rowland, PA on Friday, March 1st, 2023, from 11 AM to 12 PM. Funeral services will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, Rowland, PA on Friday March 1, 2024 at 12 PM with Rev. Neil Cadle officiating. Final interment will take place in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Shohola, PA.
