Sorry to hear about Gordon’s passing! A great guy that was a lot of fun when we came up to visit as children. I will always remember him coming down to visit a few years after Danny passed away and seeing Danny’s truck sitting in dad’s garage. Gordon had a fit and said “ let’s get this thing out and get her going “. We messed with it and by the end of day it was running again. I’m sorry you had to deal with all the health issues and suffering towards the end of your earthly life , but have a few cold ones with Danny in heaven, and make sure you sit down to pee so you don’t get sprinkles on the seat ! Rest Easy

So many memories! I remember being a little kid and staying at Aunt Betty’s while mom & dad went to a class reunion. Kathy & Gordon weren’t married yet and were “babysitting us”. We kept getting out of bed and going to the living room and Gordon finally threatened to whip our tails if we came out of the room one more time!
I remember the summer my brother Danny and I stayed with Kathy and Gordon and then they drove us home. That’s when i learned to eat bagels and cream cheese.
Gordon and I talked a lot on the phone when we would be out on the road. I’d call to check in when I had a 4 hour drive to Norfolk in front of me to visit my daughter. Sometimes we’d talk 2-3 hours during those road trips.
Gordon was always a big burly guy to me as a child, but as I grew up i also realized he had a heart of gold. When Danny died he parked his truck and got on an airplane and was sitting at our kitchen table in Maryland 24 hours later. I’m not sure he ever really knew how much that meant to us!
We weren’t blood Gordon, but you were definitely my cousin! I’ll miss our chats- the long ones and just the quick hello every so often. Going to miss you but i’m glad you aren’t suffering & I hope you and Danny are having the biggest, loudest party up there! Show the angels how it’s done!
