Hector Jovany Lopez, also known as Jovany, passed away on October 25, 2023, in Bushkill, PA, at the age of 50. Born on October 22, 1973, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, he was a quiet and humble family man. Jovany was hardworking, handy, and an aspiring inventor. He had the ability to tackle any task, no matter how easy or difficult it may have been.

Jovany is survived by his beloved wife Marelyn and their two sons, Jonathan and Manuel. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Cruz and Luis, and his mother, Luz Gonzalez. Jovany will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Jovany attended and graduated from Eastern District High School and later pursued a career as a forklift operator at NFI Distribution. He was known for his dedication and commitment to his work.

In his free time, Jovany enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing, boating, camping, hiking, and riding his bicycle. He had a great sense of humor and was always the family comedian, pulling pranks on anyone he could.

A funeral viewing and service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Church of God Holy Ground, located at 5205 Milford Road East Stroudsburg, PA 18302. The immediate family-only viewing will take place from 11:30 am to 1 pm, followed by a general viewing from 1 pm to 2 pm. The funeral service will be held from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, with additional viewing from 3:30 pm to 5 pm. On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, a final viewing will be held from 11 am to 11:30 am, followed by a departure to Sandhill Cemetery.

Jovany was a pentecostal member at Church of God Holy Ground. The family found truth and solace in their faith.
