Obituary of Vita C. Ditta

Our loving sister, aunt and friend, Vita C. Ditta, at 104 years of age, of Milford, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Matamoras, Pennsylvania with her loving family by her side.

Vita was born on June 12, 1919, in Long Island, New York.  Vita was a retired Executive Secretary for the Copy Craft Company in Manhattan, New York. The daughter of the late Joseph M. and Antoinette (Cottone) Ditta. 

She was a wonderful sister and besides spending time with family and friends, Vita loved playing games (she was a Skip-Bo scholar) and doing puzzles. As a young woman she was a world traveler and loved to talk about her travels and experiences.  She had many photo albums of her travels.  She was tenacious, intelligent with an incredible memory, graduated high school at the age of 16 and continued to college earning a BA.  She was community minded and loved Milford.  She was impeccably dressed at all times, always elegant in her demeanor and Vita loved her desserts.

Vita leaves behind her brother, Rudolph Ditta; nieces, Christine Murphy her husband Robert, Linda Ditta, Carol Ditta and Susan Ditta, nephews Christopher Mirabile and Paul Ditta.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Ditta and sister, Mary Mirabile.

Family and friends may call at the Stroyan funeral Home, 405 West Harford Street, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337 on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 12 PM to 2 PM.

Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 2 PM with Reverend Joseph Manarchuck officiating.

The burial will take place at the Milford Cemetery, Milford, Pennsylvania 18337.
