Obituary of Richard Joseph Giannini

Richard Joseph Giannini, 54 of Dingmans Ferry, PA passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono, East Stroudsburg, PA. He was an Emergency Medical Responder for CMG Enterprises, LLC, where he was stationed at Dingman Township Volunteer Fire Department EMS, Dingman Township, PA. He quickly became a beloved member of the team and was known as “Uncle Rick” to the crew, fire members, and patients alike.

Richard was the son of William and Ann (Block) Giannini, he was born in Flanders, NJ on January 21, 1969 and moved to Cranberry Ridge in Dingman Twp in 1977.

From a young age he found a love of motorcycles and could often be found riding the roads of Pike County with a smile on his face. If he wasn’t riding his motorcycles he could be found jamming out to Guns N’Roses, Def Leppard and Aerosmith with childhood friends Raymond Pepe and Raymond Fitzgerald or going to the beach with his wife Donna. His easy going, positive demeanor and fun loving attitude brought happiness to all that met him.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Donna (Carr) Giannini and his step-sons Alan Spangenburg and his son Conner, Charles Morales and his son Greyson Spangenburg. He is also survived by his father William Giannini Sr, Brothers William Giannini Jr and his wife Lorri, George Giannini and his wife Leslie, and James Giannini and his wife Barbara.

Although he had no children of his own his nieces and nephews became his children often giving them fun nicknames. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Crystal “Crissy” Giannini and husband Kyle Mihalik and their daughter Mia “Momma Mia” Mihalik, Ann “Annie” Giannini, Brooke “Brookie” Giannini and fiancé Johnathan Swift and children Savanna Bilach, Brianna Bilach,   Daniel Bilach, and Johnathan Swift Jr., Maria Giannini and her husband Stefanos and their daughter Ariadne, James Giannini Jr and wife Lisa and their son Vincenzo, and Barbara McInrye and husband Anthony and daughter Charlotte, David Giannini and his wife Jackie and their sons Connor, Ryan, and Rocco, Ed “Fast Eddie” Chaparro and family, and Teresa Huelbig and family.  

Richard was also loved by so many including his beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1989, his granddaughter Kylie and his best friend Raymond “Fitzy” Fitzgerald. He was also preceded by his beloved dog Elvis.

A viewing will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 7 PM with Rev. Sandra Morales officiating.
