Obituary of Olaf Anders Kristiansen
A devout husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend will be missed. It is with great sadness that the family of Olaf Anders Kristiansen reports his passing on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, New Jersey.
Olaf was a proud captain of an asphalt barge, having worked from 1967 to 2011. He regularly attended Grace Bible Church in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He loved to make people laugh and had an infectious smile. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved Jesus more than anything and it was his greatest joy to know that his kids and grandkids did too. He loved the outdoors where he would garden, fish and hunt. Other interests included computers, auctions, and scrapping.
Olaf was born on September 18, 1947 in Norway to the late Ommund and Carrie (Andersen) Kristiansen. He was married to Marie (Pedersen) Kristiansen.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Marie Kristiansen, children, Karen Kristiansen, David and his wife Jess Kristiansen and Julie and her husband Dave Yakaboski; grandchildren, Kaleb Kristiansen, Jakob Kristiansen, Tyler Yakaboski, Austin Yakaboski, and Dakota Yakaboski; sister, Iris and her husband Arnie Loevlie; sister-in-law, Bea Kristiansen and many nieces and nephews.
