William D. Owens, 81 of Montague, NJ passed away April 25, 2023 at home. He was a retired Millwright with Ball Metal Beverage Container Corp, Middletown, NY. 

William was a devoted family man who enjoyed hunting, camping, outdoor sportsmanship, and who committed his life to providing for his family.   

The son of the late Robert and Marion (Puhl) Owens he was born December 16, 1941 in Scranton, PA. William was married to Halain E. (Ward) Owens on May 15, 1971 in Iselin, NJ.

William leaves behind his wife Halain; daughter Christina Owens; three sons: William Owens, Jr., Robert Owens, Richard Owens; brother William Shemming; three grandchildren Rosemarie, Genevieve and Caedon.

Services and cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
