Obituary of Marilyn Grace Tschopp

Marilyn Grace (Bishop) Tschopp, 84, of Milford, PA passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday, April 24, 2023. Marilyn was born on February 6, 1939, to the late Willard and Helen (Bishop) Sargent. She was previously married to Warner L. Tschopp, Sr. who resides in Milford, PA with companion Cory Hiller. While together, Marilyn and Warner had four children.

 

Marilyn had a very busy business known as Marilyn’s Florist a Garden Center. She displayed her design talents with Non-Profit Organizations, Businesses and in the private sector with weddings, celebrations, and fundraisers all throughout Pike County and the surrounding areas. Marilyn was also a Personal Limo Driver for Davis Chant, a local Realtor.

 

  She also helped Warner with his Paving and Seal Coating business and his Modular Sales and Service business. In her spare time, she was involved with The Milford Garden Club and the American Heart Association. Marilyn was very proud of her accomplishments with Karate and her skills in writing poetry. Her grandchildren referred to her as The Karate Grandma and she received an award for one of her poems which was published in an American Poetry Association Book.

 

Marilyn had a beautiful relationship with God and loved to witness to anyone who would listen to the many miracles she experienced. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Milford, PA.

 

Marilyn is survived by two daughters, Wendy and spouse Mark Strouse of Milford, PA and Heidi Messenger of Florida; ten grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.  Janel and spouse Scott Barber and children Jacyln, Kiara, Jackson, Karson, Lyndsey, Ryan; Jennifer and spouse Adam Perreault and children, Samantha and Gabrielle; Jessica Strouse, Jeanna and spouse Rich Posci and children JJ, Evan and Zane,  Mark and spouse Krystyn Strouse and children Ian and Harper; Rachael and spouse Bryan Copertine and children Clohe, Ian, Zachery and Peyton; Lauren Strouse and son Matthew; Edward and spouse Corine Strouse and children, Aaliya, Ethan, Carmella, Julian, Jayce, Kayleb, Mila and Gemma and Michelle Strouse and companion Michael Ruggiero.

 

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by a son, Warner L. Tschopp, Jr.; a daughter, Aimee Hissam and a grandson, Charles Strouse.

 

Friends may call at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 300 Broad St, Milford, PA 18337 on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 11 AM to 1 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Benjamin Willis officiating.

 

The burial will be at Milford Cemetery, Milford, PA.
