Obituary of Henry C. Prigge

Henry C. Prigge, 87 of Shohola, PA passed away Friday, March 17, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA.  He was a retired Supervisor for Shohola Township, PA and prior to that he owned and operated Hank’s TV.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1957 to 1961.  He was a member of St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, Shohola Fire Depart., Shohola Area Lions Club, Shohola Rod & Gun Club and former President of the German Hill Cemetery Association.  He loved fishing and hunting, he was an avid reader, loved crossword and jigsaw puzzles, NASCAR and Country music.  It has often been said that he never met a dessert he didn’t like!

The son of the late Peter and Marie (Burfiendt) Prigge, he was born February 22, 1936 in Shohola, PA. He was married to RoseAnn (Winkler) Prigge on May 18, 1973 at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church.

Henry leaves behind his wife RoseAnn; three daughters Karen Calvacca (Joseph) of Blakeslee, PA, Holly Lees (John Thompson) of Fayetteville, NC and Annette Cocalas (Robert Lewis) of Nyack, NY; grandchildren Christopher Calvacca, Iris Cocalas and Robert Lees; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Norma Prigge. He was predeceased by his son Kurt Prigge and his brother Walter Prigge.

Services and burial will take place at German Hill Cemetery, Shohola, PA and shall be private at the convenience of the family.
