Obituary of Elizabeth C. Kopfinger

            Elizabeth C. “Bitsey” Kopfinger, 85 of Milford, PA passed away, Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at home. She was a retired medical assistant for Dr. Bollock, Lab Technician for Kolmar Labs, Port Jervis, NY, Blindness Consultant for Pennsylvania Association for the Blind and collections for Industrial Hose Company, Shohola, PA. Bitsey was the founder, Board Member and Chairman of the Pike County Fair, Greene Drehr Sterling Fair member; past Director of Pennsylvania Association of County Fairs; founder and Board Member of the Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Program. She was awarded the Pennsylvania State Fair Person of the Year and Tri State Area Citizen of the Year.

            The daughter of the late Benjamin V. and Helen (VanVorst) Hissam she was born July 26, 1934 in Milford, PA. She was married to the late Frederick A. Kopfinger.

            Bitsey leaves behind two sons Frederick A Kopfinger, III, David Kopfinger and his wife Samantha; granddaughter Lawson Kopfinger; nephews Larry Lindsay and family, Bill Hissam and family, Marc Hissam, Benjamin Hissam and family; many nieces, nephews and foster children.

            Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St,., Milford, PA on Monday December 16, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be held at Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Milford, Milford, PA on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11 AM with Rev. Benjamin Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, PA.
