Obituary of Kenneth Allen

Kenneth David Allen, 87 of Matamoras, PA passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. He was a retired Metal Lather for Local 46, Manhattan, NY. Kenneth was a member of St. Joseph Church, Matamoras, PA and the Montague Senior Club. Kenny, as everyone knew him, was a proud member of Local # 46 for 46 years, serving the last 12 as a Business Agent. Those who knew him would agree he was a man’s man but was also the epitome of a true gentleman. He greeted everyone with a smile, treated everyone as family and gave the best hugs and back rubs. Kenny was a true New Yorker. He was a diehard NY Yankees and Giants fan. Ken enjoyed traveling with his wife Chris, reading suspense novels and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

 

The son of the late Milton and Lillian (McNally) Allen, brother of the late Warren Allen, Kenneth was born May 28, 1935 in Bronx, NY. He was married to Christine (Juers) Allen for 47 years.

 

Kenneth leaves behind his wife Christine; five children, son William Dixon (s. Judy) of Hopewell Junction, NY, daughter Kim Mueller of Wayne, NJ, daughter Anna Tuleya (s. John) of Honesdale, PA, daughter Kathleen Allen of Honesdale, PA, and daughter Ethel Schmidt (s. Peter) of Hawley, PA; twelve grandchildren Michelle Dixon, Victoria Dixon, Zachary Dixon, Ryan Mueller, Olivia Mueller, Avery Mueller, Jordan Sandlin, Max Schmidt, Jesse Brown, Jake Brown, Seth Brown, and Alec McKenna; one great grandchild; sister in law, Joan Allen and several nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, PA on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Joseph Manarchuk officiating.
