Obituary of Janice M. Johns

It is with great sadness that the family of Janice M. Johns reports her passing on December 3, 2022, at home in Matamoras, PA surrounded by her family. She was 69 years old.

Janice was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She believed strongly in her Norwegian and American heritage, keeping up traditions that will be continued for years to come. She was the luckiest scratch-off scratcher there ever was, and loved a trip to the casino.

Janice was a collector of many things, and absolutely loved a good antique. She always made sure her holiday table was set perfectly and would extend a seat to anyone that wanted or needed. She loved to host family and friends. Making lasting memories was definitely one of her strong suits and a characteristic she will surely be remembered by. Her life was a living example of loving fiercely.

The daughter of the late Roy and Marie (Preston) Knoff, she was born on January 23, 1953, in Brooklyn, NY. She was devoutly married to Allen P. Johns, Jr. for almost 50 years.  

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Allen P, Johns, Jr.; daughter, Dana Latini, and her husband Matt; son, Allen P. Johns III and his wife Dawn; grandchildren, Morgan, Lauren, Abigail, Matthew Jr., Michael, and Madilyn and siblings.

Cremation was private at convenience to the family at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford Twp., PA. 

In lieu of flowers or charitable donations, Janice’s wishes were that families take some time to create a lasting memory for themselves and their families in her memory.
