My Jimmy the only person I get to call my HERO, my DAD!
As I stand here getting ready to say my final, “see you soon”, it’s never goodbye. I cherish all the memories we made together so many that most people can’t explain this is not about me this is about you and all the love and lives you impacted on a daily basis. You have so many people that love and cherish you more than I think you ever knew. You are such a kind hearted welcoming person that will never be replaced! I’m so proud as I stand here today to honor my best friend my Jimmy, my dad, I promise to be as half of the man you were! You are one of a kind, never to be replaced. I now have the honor to try and fulfill your shoes the love the care the happiness that you brought to everyone in your life. Forever your little boy may I shoot 2 hole in 1’s in my lifetime ❤️

Well before I knew his name, he knew mine, quite an unfair advantage if you ask me; but, Jimmy was Brandon’s best friend and he was the first person Brandon introduced me too. I still remember Brandon saying, “Would you like to meet my dad?” and as soon as I said, “Yes”, I could feel my heart racing and my stomach turning with nerves as I heard, “He’s on his way.” The first time I saw Jimmy, he hugged me, -with both arms, which later on I learned that this act is rare and the single-arm-hug is a Snyder trait. On that Saturday morning, while Alfie wagged his tail and Jimmy pet Alfie’s back, I knew, Jimmy would be my best friend too.
One of my fondest memory of Jimmy was a different Saturday morning, when Brandon and Jimmy went from cutting down tree branches to cutting down trees that were as wide as a person and so tall, I felt dizzy looking up at them. I grabbed my phone and quickly dialed “911”, just in case. Once again, here I am standing with shaky knees, my heart racing and my stomach turning as I watch this confident man, Jimmy and his father, Pa, tying a thick rope around the trunk of a tree and teaching Brandon one of their safety knots. After a few minutes, the chainsaw blade finally glided at a perfect angle and the tree tumbled precisely where he intended it to fall. And no one can forget the videos and pictures we received of Bruno, Jimmy’s pet bear, who on occasion would come around and play with Maya and Memi through the glass screen door. I will always want to see this Earth as adventurous and beautiful as Jimmy did. Our hearts will forever long for our sweet Jimmy.

I worked with Jimmy for nearly 10 years. His brother and him were 2 of the hardest workers I have ever met. They hustled and did things above and beyond the duty they were responsible for on the daily. Some of my fondest memories are the little chats we would have in the truck, in between snow plowing rotations, and the practical jokes I always played. I won't forget his laugh, the way he put up with my crap, nor his love for the outdoors. It was infectious. Jimmy, you and Dale are the reason I got into turkey hunting and helping with the NWTF. I will miss your guidance, work ethic, leadership, but most of all I will miss the man who helped me become a better person, a true friend and mentor. God bless you and your family. You're a Saint for dealing with my antics.
