Obituary of Janet Louise Collins

It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Louise Collins reports her passing on July 14, 2022, at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was 68 years old. Janet was a retired clerk for the United States Postal Service, Oceanside, CA.

The daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa (Douglas) McNicholas, she was born on June 27, 1954, in New York, NY. She was married to William Collins.

Janet leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, William Collins; son Daniel Collins; daughter Melissa Celik and her husband Ferhat; two grandchildren Ayla and Selin; brother Thomas McNicholas; nephew Michael Gray and extended family of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, PA on July 20, 2022 at 10 AM with Msgr. Carroll officiating.
