My dear sister Barbara, you are missed so much by your church family. I always cherished your honesty and admired your relationship with your beloved husband, Sam. You had a love for the Lord that will always be remembered. I will miss your smile, your kindness and your sense of humor. Rest easy my friend, in the peaceful arms of Jesus. May he comfort Sam and give him peace until you meet again

My dearest Barbara, our Boudica... The ways in which you will be missed are overwhelming. Your laughter (sometimes snorting, sometimes a quick 'ha!', sometimes from the belly accompanied by tears) and wit, your interest in and love for art, music, literature, gardening, history, stitchery and design, animals, crafts, giraffes, all things Celtic, silly Minions and so much more was inspiring and you shared it with all of us. Your fierce and protective loyalty to those you loved and your contempt for fools was constant. Your love for Sam was monumental. Late nights in your lovely home, games, puzzles, movie marathons, deep talks about spirituality and religion, yard sales, camping trips, Renaissance fairs and so much more. You gave those to us. Thank you. I will miss you, my sister, more than I can express. Love, Gabrielle

My strongest impression of Barbara was of how straightforward and honest she was. Sometimes that could be a little hard to take, but you always knew where you stood with her. And when she did pay you a compliment, you knew she meant it, and therefore it meant a lot. And of course, under that often brusque exterior beat an incredibly generous heart. Love you, Barbara.

The first time I met Barbara she made me feel totally at ease. She struck me as very warm, honest and down to earth. Anyone who knew Sam and Barbara could see how devoted they were to each other and how much they loved each other. Barbara was an ingenious crafts person, adorning their home with all sorts of handmade crafts. She was a true perfectionist in every sense of the word. One example of this is a Christmas tree that Barbara made by hand, replete with all the ornaments, all made by Barbara.
Barbara enjoyed her home and it shows, both inside and out, as her various plants and flowers naturally thrived due to her ever loving care for them. Barbara will be missed and I will never forget her. Heaven has gained a new angel, but Barbara was an angel on earth as well.
Rest in peace my dear friend.

Dearest Barbara,
Although I did not know you as well as many have, I am thankful and grateful that you were my sister in Christ, and that I can share in the love, joy, and admiration that is being expressed. I too will always remember your great smile, and the day you came up to me in church and said, "get to know this church family they are wonderful, and it is a great place to be". I will continue to share in the joy and love this family had and will always have for you. You will always be remembered, until we see you again.

My Dear Friend Barbara,
You were such a beautiful example of a servant of the Lord.Your service in the church was excellent and will be praised. You were also such a beautiful example of a wife who loved and honored husband for all to see. And I agree with Sam your beautiful warm smile always touched me every Sunday morning as you gazed across the church and gave me your smile and wink. It made me feel so loved. You will always be honored in our hearts.

My sister Barbra had the biggest Martha heart of anyone I’ve ever known. She loved serving people, she loved helping others if she could, she was generous, she was an amazing decorator, designer and clothing maker (ren fair) She was thoughtful and always made sure whenever there were elders retreats that we were well provided for with food. She loved my wife myself and my children like we were family to her and we saw her the same. She is deeply missed.

My dear sister in Christ I will miss your smile, your sense of humor, your open honesty and your love for others. You were a light in the darkness and Heaven is a little brighter since you entered the gates into the waiting arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Until we meet again….

My Precious Love,
I could never thank you enough for the wonderful 25+ years you journeyed by my side. You were my constant companion, my lover and friend, and you absolutely completed me. Ours was a love story that stayed strong to the end.
The writer of Proverbs asks, "An excellent wife, who can find? She is far more valuable than jewels..."
And so it is true, my love; you made me rich, my excellent wife. I can confidently declare, "Many daughters have done nobly, but you surpassed them all..." You blessed me every day with your love, honor and respect, and you brought forth the best version of me. I feel unbalanced without you here, and I will miss you every moment we're apart.
But oh, what joy and celebration on the day that our Savior calls me Home!
First, to look upon His Gentle Face, to hear Him say "Well done"; but then to see your loving smile once again...
"I have found the one whom my soul loves"; and I will carry your love with me to the end of my days...
Yours forever,
your Honeybear Sam
