Obituary of Allen Rudd Hendee

Allen Rudd Hendee, Jr. of Lords Valley, PA passed away Wednesday November 17, 2021 at home. He was a retired Commercial Banker for First Fidelity, Newark, NJ. Allen was a U.S. Army veteran and retiring as a Colonel from the U.S. Army Reserves.

The son of the late Allen Rudd Hendee and Hazel (Smith) Hendee, Sr., he was born June 5, 1939 in Rutland, VT. He was married to Sally (Quinn) Hendee September 27, 1980 in Pompton Plains, NJ.

Allen is survived by his wife Sally; daughter Heather Strasser of Hawley, PA; son Christopher Gray and his wife Meg of Bloomingdale, NJ and three grandchildren Austin Strasser, Sarah Gray and Alexandra Gray.

A viewing will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2 to 5 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on November 21, 2021 at 5 PM with Rev. Butch Gilpin officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Rutland, VT private at the convenience of the family.
