Obituary of Harry J Kestler

Harry J. Kestler, 82, of Greeley, PA passed away on September 20, 2021 at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was owner and operator of Kestler Communications, Inc and H & H Enterprise, Lackawaxen, PA until his retirement in 1999. Harry was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Greeley, PA, Greeley Fire Department, Greeley, PA, Lackawaxen Fire Department, Lackawaxen, PA, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, Shohola, PA and a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1957 to 1963.

 

The son of the late William and Mary (Jordan) Kestler he was born February 26, 1939 in Sussex, NJ. He was married to the late Christel (Pohlmann) Kestler.

 

Harry is survived by two daughters Christine Breuer (Robert), Sharon Kestler; three sisters Jane Gregory, Virginia Carey, Diane Kestler; two brothers Peter Kestler, and David Kestler, sic grandchildren: James, Nina, Nicole, Bre, Bernie III, Katherine, and his companion Barbara Barnes. He was predeceased by his son Michael Kestler and Brother William “Al” Kestler.

 

Viewing will be held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, PA on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11:00 with Rev. Edward Casey officiating.
