Obituary of Dolores Keefe
Dolores Keefe, age 85 of Hemlock Farms passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 5th, 2021.
She was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Helen (Regetz) and Lawrence Bodino. She lived in Lincoln Park, NJ most of her life. After graduating Boonton High School, she went to work at Bell Laboratories in Whippany, NJ. She was later promoted to the position of Office Manager for AT&T.
Dolores retired from AT&T in 1990 and moved to her home in Hemlock Farms, PA. She was very active in her community as she was a member and President of the 50 Plus Club, a member of the First Aid Squad and Women’s Auxiliary for the Hemlock Farms Fire Department. She volunteered for 30 years at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
Dolores also volunteered at the local school for several years helping children learn how to read. She was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Keefe; her brother, James Bodino and is preceded by her sister, Helen Sandford.
Dolores will be remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews. Great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was loved and adored by all and the matriarch of her family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Neumann Church, 705 Route 739, Hawley, PA 18428 on Saturday, August 21st, 2021, at 11 AM with Rev. Edward Casey officiating.
A Celebration of Life will follow at the Hemlock Farms Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 1053 Hemlock Farms Rd, Hawley, PA 18428.
