Last year, my mom wanted to take a picture of my grandma and i together at the lake. My grandma has always seen me pose for pictures with my arms out like an airplane, and thought it would make for a funny and cute picture. So, we posed like this and had a good laugh out of it. It is still one of my favorite pictures of us.

My grandma was always the most caring and comforting person to talk to. I always felt safe and cared for with her. We would always joke around together, and I loved hearing her funny stories and corny jokes. She always wanted the best for everyone, no matter who it was. She was such a beautiful soul inside and out. I miss you and love you so much grandma <3

Looking up at the stars on my deck this evening, I’m reminded of one of my most treasured memories of my Grandma. We would sit on our deck with our blankets in the darkest hours of the night, looking up at the sky, waiting to see the stars dance. She loved when it was that time of year to watch those meteor showers.

I remember asking her what heaven was like when I was a little girl. She told me it was made of all the best things- & a big merry-go-round surrounded by clouds made of cotton candy. We had the best conversations. <3

My grandmother was incredibly kind and an absolutely beautiful woman. She brought so much joy and laughter into my life and I’m happy I am able to call her my grandma. Her spirit will forever live on. She was the true definition of a warrior. I will forever love you and miss you grandma.
