Obituary of Arleen Herbert
Arleen Herbert, 76, of Matamoras, PA passed away at home with her family by her side on July 1, 2021. The daughter of the late David and Catherine (Zaccone) Denton, she was born October 15, 1944 in Newark, NJ. She was married to Thomas Herbert on June 9, 1974 in Newark, NJ.
Arleen was a retired Instructional Assistant for Delaware Valley School District and cared deeply about the students she worked with. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Matamoras, PA for many years. Arleen was a kind and joyful person who was always smiling and laughing. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, her favorite times were spent with her family, dancing, and listening to music. Arleen also loved her many pets over the years and enjoyed the outdoors.
Arleen will be greatly missed by her family: her husband of 47 years, Thomas; son David Herbert and his wife Mary Kate; daughter Danielle Sauschuck and her husband Jeff; grandsons Anderson and Jackson; three brothers David, Robert, and Richard Denton; and extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Joseph Manarchuck officiating.
A private burial will take place with family at a later date in Branchville Cemetery in Branchville, NJ.
