Obituary of Horst Karl Breuer

Horst Karl Breuer, 86 of Brooklyn, NY and formerly of Shohola, PA passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Friedwald Center, New City, NY. He was a retired Master Cabinet maker. He was in business as Breuer and Schields from 1963 – 1974.  After that he was an employee for many years at Doorwood, Danville, NJ, Intrex Inc., Harrison, NJ and Bauerschmidt and Sons, Jamaica Queens. He was a member of St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, Shohola Fire Department, Shohola Area Lions Club and the Shohola Rod & Gun Club. In his retirement he enjoyed gardening and wood working projects in his wood shop.

The son of the late Karl and Johanna (Dahring) Breuer, he was born in East Prussia, Germany on December 25, 1934. He was married to the late Luise Breuer.

Horst is survived by two children, Anja Breuer and her companion Carl LaCavalla of Pearl River, NY and Robert Breuer and his wife Tina of Greeley, PA; four grandchildren: James, Nina, Nicole, Breonna; several nieces and nephews in Germany.

Services and burial will take place in German Hill Cemetery, Shohola, PA, private at the convenience of the family.
