Obituary of Barbara Mae Donovan

Barbara Mae (Koch) Donovan, 62, of Shohola PA passed away on April 4^th, 2021. 

Barbara was born on January 22^nd, 1959 in Port Jervis, NY to parents Shirley and Arthur Koch.  She was the fourth of six children and is survived by her siblings: Arthur (Kathy) Koch, Ray (Patty) Koch, Suzanne (James) Tieskotter, Donna (Ed) Stritmater and Doris (Rich) Shaffer. 

Barbara was married to the love of her life, John Joseph Donovan, III for 40 years who describes her as his soul mate and best friend.  She is also survived by her son Justin (Carrie) Goble of Virginia and five grandchildren (Ella, Dylon, Ariana, Addison and Emmerson).

Barbara enjoyed gardening, cooking, plays, music concerts, rescuing and raising animals and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Over the years, she worked at Sparkomatic in Milford, the Best Western Inn in Matamoras and The Barryville Coffee Shop in Barryville, NY before starting her own successful house cleaning business. Barbara was a frequent volunteer who dedicated many hours to the Lackawaxen Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary in Lackawaxen and St. Ann’s Church in Shohola, PA, of which she was a devoted member.

Services will be held on April 9^th at 10:30am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Shohola, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to: Lackawaxen Twp Volunteer Fire Department AUXILIARY, RT 590, Lackawaxen, PA 18435 or, St. Ann’s Church, 125 Richardson Avenue, Shohola PA 18458.
