Obituary of Kathryn A. Levy
Kathryn Ann Levy, 76, of Milford, PA passed away Tuesday, March 16 in Port Jervis, NY. She was a retired Director of Midpoint Associated Practitioners, New York, NY. She was a loving and devoted Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
The daughter of the late John and Anna (Staffoli) Adamo, she was born September 30, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated Franklin K. Lane HS in 1962. In 1969 she met the love of her life Mark Levy while working at Bach in NYC. They married on July 4, 1970 marking the beginning of a love filled journey. She was the shortest yet eldest of 4. Kat had a zest for all things unique. Any one-of-a-kind being would quickly gain her affection and praise. She loved to read, paint, travel, explore new places, and meet new people. She loved Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline and all things Broadway. If you wanted to turn a regular time into a great time, she was equipped for such at all times. She had a sweet tooth for Haagen Daaz coffee ice cream, chocolate covered strawberries, black licorice, and those weird elephant peanut candies. Her small stature would emit energy to that of a private jet, and her smile would light up a room.
Kat carried herself with a peaceful sense of power. She was easy to run to, eager to listen, and always had a shoulder to cry on. Mom underestimated how quick she could make anyone laugh at any given time. She was feisty, aka Sicilian, tenacious, forthright and just plain funny. She protected her husband in every capacity, and would do anything in the world for her children. Her role as Grandmother, naming her Momma Kat, replenished her heart to the brim with complete joy.
Kat will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will carry on through the lives of her children Karyn Gouger and her husband Christopher, Andrew Levy and his wife Deanna, and Elayna Levy; brother Vincent Adamo and his wife Debra; two sisters Jayne Aidala; Laura Dustin; five beautiful grandchildren; Jonathan, Emily, Ethan, Taylor, and Justin; and several beloved nieces and nephews: Joshua, David, John and his wife Ashley, Sarah and her fiancé Paul, Rachele, Aimee and her fiancé Tom, and Chris. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Mark, her brother-in-law Richard Aidala, her beloved Pomeranian, Eddy, her loving in laws Joseph and Esther Levy and brother in law Richard Arthur Levy.
