It's hard to comprehend that I am writing on Lu's Memorial Tribute Wall. I first met Lu back in the Fall of 1997. I was navigating life as a college student in St. Augustine, living on my own for the first time- free from the dorms but missing my family in CT. Lu welcomed me with open arms right away. Lu shared my love of flowers and plants. I have fond memories of planting foxglove, delphiniums and snapdragons with Lu in her backyard in the Spring. Lu did not judge me by my mistakes and was always there to provide helpful advice. As a girl baptized in the Protestant Congregational church, Lu patiently answered all of my questions about Catholic Mass - "When do we say 'and also with you'? The Lord's Prayer is short a line." LOL!
I am sending thoughts of peace and comfort to the Saski and Adams families along with Lu's many friends and extended family members. She will shine brightly in Heaven!
