Dear Family and Friends of Dr. Dubensky. We are sending our heartfelt condolences on Dr. Dubensky's passing. My husband and I have known Dr. Dubensky for over eighteen years. Dr. Dubensky cared for our Border Collies, Pita, who passed in 2016, and Halo, now five years old. Dr. Dubensky was the most loving and caring person we've ever known! He always diagnosed and quickly mended any aliments our Border's had. I knew when I called he would be there for us! I will never forget how excited Dr. Dubensky was to show me his Cat and Dog feeding table creations during Halo's last checkup on September 14th. He was so proud of the feeding tables and donating a portion to charities. I purchased one of these lovely feeding tables for Halo, and he loves it! We miss our beloved friend and unforgettable caregiver to our pets. Love and prayers. Paulette and Ralph Forgacs

Dr. Dubensky, It always made me feel better to know that there were people like you in the world. Good hearted, intelligent and absolutely passionate about your vocation. You took care of all our boys for 30 years. Even after we moved back to NJ 20 years ago. You always took the time to explain things to us in a way that made sense. Even those times we went home crying. When we brought our Tuvok to you who we thought was a beagle when we saw him online you said "the only thing beagle on this guy is the paint job". A good man gone too soon. Rest in Peace. Our condolences to the family and the great staff at MAH. Norman and Laurie Hiler

I am so heartbroken to hear of Docs passing. He was a special person and took good care of my Rudi until he passed a couple of years ago, and to my Ollie also. We had a special bond, as I am a former Marine and we would talk about his Dad in the war and every year would put an ad in our MCL journal with a picture of his dad in uniform with his German Shephard.
My condolences to the family and the staff at MAH. RIP Doc...... Barbara Pastoriza

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Dubensky's passing. We moved here in 1987 and he has been our beloved vet all these years. His kindness toward all the members of this family (those with 4 legs and those with 2 legs) has been immeasurable. He took a special interest in our disabled daughter (also an animal lover) and treated her with tremendous respect and encouraged her love of animals, taught her about them, and went out of his way to show her that he knew these were her pets and that her voice in the decisions concerning their health was paramount. This family will greatly miss him.

I meet Dr. Dubensky 14 yrs ago, when I needed a "new puppy" health check. He was the only vet in the area that had the knowledge of Bedlington Terriers. He was always available for what ever the concern or question I had. He always made us feel, not like number, but as if we were his only patient. There will be a big void in the animal world, but he will continue to be a part to each and everyone who got to know him. My condolences to his family and the staff at MAH.

My condolences to Dr. Dubensky’s family, friends, staff at MAH, and all his clients. I was surprised to hear of his recent retirement. I just had Beau to see him for his first wellness visit in August. Saturday I was heartbroken to hear of his passing. He truly was the kindest, most compassionate, generous, and knowledgeable veterinarian. You could tell right away how much he loved animals. I’ve been bringing my pets to him since I moved to this area in 1992. He will be greatly missed. Thank you for everything Dr. Dubensky. I’m sure Kilo, Kasey, Smokey, and Jeter greeted you at the rainbow bridge for a quick hello. Rest In Peace. ❤️

We sure are going to miss you Dr. Dubensky. This came as a shock. We are heartbroken for Martha,Lena, and Trevor, the entire family. What an extraordinary veterinarian and human being. A role model for all of us that knew and loved him. Our daughter Kimberly grew up with their daughter Lena. May the family find comfort through their faith and knowing how many people in Pike County and beyond hold tight to our memories we shared with this good doctor and friend. One story. We had adopted an all black puppy from the humane society . My husband Karl not knowing how big the puppy would get and wanting a small dog asked Doc how big will Dunkin the puppy get? Without hesitation Doc informed him that Dunkin would remain small. Dunkin grew to a healthy weight of 85 pounds and often resembled a small black bear. Doc wanted us to keep the puppy. He told us a little white lie.Thank goodness we kept The very big Dunkin. Dunkin was a great dog.

Dear Martha and family,
We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear about Dr. D. He really was a gem, a wonderful human being. We trusted and relied on his expertise for our fur babies. (Max on the left- Kali on right). He was extremely compassionate and when we had to let Max go, we knew he had done everything in his power to help us. When I brought our new pup, Kali in 10 days later, Dr. D said to me, with a big smile on his face, “You had a hole in your heart”. He got it! I was so moved. What a blessing he was! We had the utmost respect for him and the loss is so great for all of us, and our community. He will always be in our hearts and we are truly grateful to him. We will always remember his kind and thoughtful ways. Thinking about you and praying for you and your family at this truly difficult time. ❤️

May his memory be for a blessing,

Our hearts are broken. Dr. Dubensky was one of a kind. In 1986 when I was in my early teens, we had an emergency with a kitten we had just adopted. My parents called Dr. Dubensky at 9:00 at night. He said to bring her in immediately. While my parents were on the way to his office he called to get some more information. He realized how upset I was and tried to calm my fears. He was honest with me. Unfortunately the kitten was sick when we got her and there was nothing he could do except end her suffering. About a month later he called my parents to tell them he had a kitten in need of a home. For 35 years he has been our fur babies doctor. 9 dogs, 12 cats. There are countless stories of his kindness throughout the years. We are forever grateful to him. Every visit he would ask how my parents were. He watched my son grow up visit after visit. We are blessed and thankful to have known him. You are missed Dr. Dubensky. Our condolences to your family, friends, staff at MAH, Eddie and fellow clients. Forever in our hearts....

We moved to Milford in the late 80’s. As a young family just starting out we had the good fortune to meet Rich, Martha and their beautiful family. I am honored to say that we became lifelong friends. Rich was such an important person in our lives. He was so instrumental in helping us be grounded in the world and modeling what it meant to live a very good life. There are so many important memories, it is difficult to share just one. I do remember one day I had the opportunity to spend most of the day going on farm calls with Rich. As we drove from farm to farm we had our usual great conversations about life. These conversations were a deeply personal sharing of our life experiences and trying to make sense of the current events of those days. What was most memorable to me about this day was the way Rich both respected and collaborated with his local farm clients. The problems and challenges were resolved together in a partnership with the farmers. You could see the mutual respect and strong relationships. This was a world that Rich clearly loved and he played such an important role in the local community. I will always remember my friend Rich for the many ways he made the world a better place to be. Rest in Peace Rich, David and Jane Lehman

Dr. Richard Dubensky....was a special man; gentle, wise and soulful. He thought nothing of keeping our cat overnight after a late surgery and dropping him off the next morning at 7 on his way to do rounds at the farms nearby. Another time, my son came up with an IV infusion technique to save a cat with acute pancreatitis and chronic hepatitis. Dr. Dubensky was thoughtful...looked at the science; had heard about it and very willing to try the treatment. It worked! And, while hiking with friends and dogs, one slashed open an artery. It was a Sun. morning, he had my friend's son meet him at the office right away. Dr. Dubensky made the world a better place. We will miss him. Always in our hearts, Mary and Sal Lia
