Obituary of James Patrick Mack
James Patrick Mack, “Jim”, 66 of Lords Valley, PA, died peacefully, at his home on Monday, December 28, 2020. His career as a Human Resources Professional spanned 40+ years in many different states and towns. He is remembered fondly by those who worked with him and has been referred to by many as the best boss they’ve ever had. Most recently, Jim retired as HR Director of B. Braun Medical, Inc., located in Allentown, PA, in 2012. Jim was a proud U.S. Marine Corp (1st Battalion, 6th Marine, 2nd Division, Camp Lejeune) veteran serving from 1972 to 1974.
The son of the late Russell and Dolores (Litzenberger) Mack, Jim was born June 18, 1954 in Allentown, PA. He was married to Mary (Nugent) Mack on June 23, 2007 in Exton, PA.
James leaves behind his wife Mary; children: Erica (Mack) Cisneros and her husband, Sergio, of Macungie, PA, David Mack and his wife, Lauren, of Milton, PA, Nick McCormick and his wife, Trish, of Glenmoore, PA, Angie (McCormick) Atchie and her husband, Josh, of Liverpool, NY, and Michael McCormick of West Chester, PA; sister Dianna (Mack) Miller and her husband, Clint, of Hubert, NC; nephew, Christopher George and his wife, Lorena of Swansboro, NC and eight grandchildren: Alexis, Owen, Alyssa, Jude, Macy, Nathaniel, Ellia and Lucas.
Jim will be remembered as a man who enjoyed a funny story and had many to tell, albeit those of the tall tale variety which he managed to improve with each retelling. He was a master of history, his family’s private “historical genius” who could recall the specific dates, locations, and names of the people involved in any historical event. He truly loved the great outdoors. Especially time spent camping, canoeing, kayaking, or hiking with his loved ones. He was a defender of all wildlife and took tremendous joy in feeding his “critters” every morning on his property located in his beloved Pocono Mountains. Jim knew how to make anything more fun. Playing a game of Yahtzee with the grandkids – wild rides in Jim’s version of the game -- or a car ride that easily became an adventure with Jim behind the wheel. In short, Jim made everything and everyone around him feel so very special. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him but will always remain in our hearts.
As Jim would say, “Peace, love, and soul… Okay, love you, see ya, bye-bye!”
