Thelma D. McCarty, 93, of Milford, PA passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis, NY. She was a member of St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, Shohola, PA.

Thelma will be remembered for her love of art, quilting and gardening.

The daughter of the late Audrey and Katherine (Hipsman) Devereaux, she was born on July 30, 1926 in Shohola, PA. She was married to Philip McCarty who preceded her in death on December 30, 2016.

Thelma is survived by her children, Robert Paul McCarty of Orleans, MA and Diane Brink of Milford, PA; four grandsons; five great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews with a special fondness for Katherine Devereaux Trapp and Lois Devereaux both of Shohola, PA.

Friends may call at the Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, PA from 1 to 2 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home 2 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 with Reverend Niels Nielsen officiating. 

Burial will follow at Milford Cemetery, Dingman Twp., PA.
