This condolence may come at a late hour but with much love. Sonny, we called him Sonny, (also, later, he was called the Bhagwan or the great Bhagwan of blues due to his ethereal harmonica skills) was one of the best friends I’ve ever made. We served together in Europe where I was fortunate enough to spend a good deal of time with him. We skied together, he took me to my first black slope and taught me how to navigate moguls. We even played a gig together in a German bar and all of our friends came to cheer us on. I admired his teaching spirit greatly and his honest, sincere nature. He was a gentleman, and he was dearly loved by all of his friends when he was in the military.
