Obituary of Nancy K. McSweeney

            Nancy K. McSweeney, 83 of Lords Valley, PA and formerly of Wayne, NJ passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.

            The daughter of the late Henry and Hattie (Kirkwood) Duinkerke, she was born June 9, 1936 in Paterson, NJ. She married John McSweeney in 1968 and raised two daughters as a stay-at-home mom. A long-time member of North Jersey Country Club, where she enjoyed tennis and golf, Nancy was skilled in a variety of hobbies including sewing, knitting, stained glass making, and loved to share her beaded Christmas balls with family and friends.

            Nancy leaves behind her beloved husband John, two daughters Kelley McSweeney of Kinnelon NJ, Shannon LeMay and her husband Robert of Milford PA; grandchildren Zoe & Keira LeMay and Sean McSweeney; sister Lois Travis and niece Deborah Reid of FL, as well as her devoted caregiver Lovey and canine companion Duffy.

            Family and friends are invited to a memorial celebration at her daughter Shannon’s house in Milford PA, Saturday September 7th beginning at 2pm. 

            In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Hemlock Farms Fire & Rescue Company, 1053 Hemlock Farms Rd, Lords Valley PA 18428.
