I am so sad to hear of Linda’s passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know her when she would bring her dog, Pepper, into the veterinary office I work for. She was such a sweet lady. She always took the time to ask me how I was doing, and give an encouraging word when I needed one. I will miss seeing and talking with her ❤️

Linda was our pastor for many years when she lived in Ohio. She was a friend and mentor to so many. We have kept in touch through the years and Linda would often share a scripture or an article she thought we would enjoy. If we had not corresponded for a few weeks we would receive a phone call to check on us. Even though home bound she still had a wide circle of people who cared deeply for her. As her church flock in Ohio has learned of her passing they have called or written notes of fond memories of her and her care and compassion for others. I hope Pepper has found a great home.

My brother and I met Linda when we landscaped her home. Linda was a wonderful person. As I can see from this wall she had an extensive email presence. We emailed each other just to check up and share some recent news story we had read.
I will truly miss just popping by to see how she was doing. Thank you Linda for just being Linda. Peace be the journey my friend.

I was very lucky to have met Linda. She was a genuine person who loved her dog, Pepper, so much. I was honored to be able to walk Pepper for her and enjoyed talking with Linda every day before and after our walks. We also emailed each other daily sharing stories, she shared sermons from her Pastor days with me, and other things she thought I would like. I am missing her terribly after seeing her every day for months. My walks with Pepper turned into so much more - Linda became like a Great Aunt to me. I will forever be grateful for the times spent with Linda. She was so caring, thoughtful, and friendly. My sincere condolences to her family and close friends. This is the last picture I sent to Linda with a note that her dog, Pepper, looked like the Flying Nun. She got a laugh from that. Until I see you again my friend, God bless.

Linda and I went to high school together. In high school we taught young children how to swim along with her brother Tommy. Linda had moved to our beloved Sarah Street years ago after retiring from ministry. We were separated by one house. Linda was an educated, well read intellectual who walked the walk and talked the talk. She never forgot about the needy and poor among us. She was generous without any fanfare. Just doing good for the sake of doing good. I loved Linda and will miss her for a very very long time. It gives us peace to know she is with her parents and her God. My condolences to Tommy and his wife and all her other friends of which there were many

Linda was a very special person. She did so much for so many people – usually anonymously. I’ve known Linda as a neighbor and friend for many years. I was very fortunate having gotten to spend the last several months talking to her every evening for our “daily check-in”. Even though we now lived miles apart, I felt it was important to maintain that connection – particularly during the pandemic, when solo quarantining can be challenging. Sometimes our talks would be quick, other times lengthier and would range in topic from politics to philosophy. In recent days I’ve heard from others how much she enjoyed our calls; what I hope she realized is how much I did as well.
My condolences to her brother, Tom, and to all her friends who loved her as well.
Warm regards,
Kimberly Cowern
